West American Rubber Company, LLC “WARCO” is a vertically integrated manufacturer of rubber goods, including Sheet Rubber, Extruded and Molded Rubber products.

Job Scope: Selling WARCO products to a targeted universe of original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s), fabricators, distributors and converters of rubber material, which consists of existing customers as well as sourcing new customers.

  • Identifying customers’ needs; matching WARCO’s capabilities and product offerings to meet customers’ requirements.
  • Interfacing with WARCO’s technical and estimating personnel to ensure responsiveness.
  • Providing ongoing customer support; including providing timely answers.

Pay Range: $65,000 – $85,000 per year

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement adapted sales strategies to acquire new customers, develop, plan and organize targeted sales campaigns in conjunction with WARCO’s Marketing Group.
  • Identify and develop incremental sales opportunities within existing customers.
  • Contact new prospects and leads.
  • Assimilate call reports regularly and provide assistance with the preparation of the Pipeline Report weekly.
  • Compile the information needed to review progress towards sales goals based on pre-established metrics.
  • Communicate strategies and objectives to management and other department personnel to garner support and coordinate efforts.
  • As requested, present sales activities and results to Executive Management.
  • Develop sales tactics to ensure WARCO stays relevant in the marketplace.
  • Contribute to the company’s P&L results by meeting WARCO’s sales objectives.
  • Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational forums, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Travel to customer locations and attend/participate in industry/sales related events as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience. Experience in rubber, plastic or related industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills; excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven sales record; demonstration of prior success.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and manage sales projects to fruition.
  • Exhibit an overall understanding of current economic, business and market conditions.
  • Proven ability to assimilate and develop working relationships at multiple levels within an organization.
  • Exhibit proficiency with various Microsoft Office applications.
  • This is an in-office position in Orange, CA.
